World Fisheries Day Event

Happy World Fisheries Day! Dr Ranjit Suseelan, Ph.D. of the international environmental NGO, the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), in India, presenting on MSC’s Fisheries Standard and certification programme at the Government of India (GoI) event in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi.

With theme ‘India’s Blue Transformation: Strengthening small-scale and sustainable fisheries,’ Dr Suseelan facilitated an afternoon technical session with a special focus on the role of fisheries standards and importance of traceability in seafood. A multi-stakeholder effort, together we work towards sustainable fishing in India.
